📝 Getting Started: Registration
Creating Your Account
- Visit the App: Go to
beesmartspelling.appand click "Register" - Choose Your Role:
- Student: Practice spelling and track your progress
- Teacher: Manage students and monitor their performance
- Parent: Track your children's spelling progress
- Enter Your Information:
- Full name (first and last)
- Email address (required for login)
- Password (keep it secure!)
- Choose Your Bee Avatar: Pick from 16 unique 3D bee characters! (See below)
- Submit: Click "Create Account" and start spelling!
🎨 Choosing Your Avatar
During registration, you'll select a personal bee avatar that represents you. Your avatar will appear on the main menu with animated behavior!
💡 Pro Tip: You can change your avatar anytime from your dashboard by clicking "Change Avatar"

🔐 Logging In
Access Your Account
- Click "Login" from the main menu
- Enter Your Credentials:
- Email address you registered with
- Your password
- Click "Sign In" to access your personalized dashboard
- See Your Avatar: Your chosen bee avatar will appear on the main menu with animations!
🔒 Security Tip: Your password is encrypted and stored securely. Never share your login credentials with anyone!
Forgot Password?
If you forget your password, contact your teacher or administrator for assistance with password reset.
🎭 Managing Your Avatar
Where Your Avatar Appears
- Main Menu: Your 3D avatar replaces the default mascot with bobbing and rotating animations
- Dashboard: Shows as a circular thumbnail next to your name
- Profile: Displayed in your personal information section
Changing Your Avatar
- Go to Your Dashboard: Login and click on your profile
- Click "Change Avatar" button
- Browse Categories: Filter by Classic, Adventure, Profession, Fantasy, Royal, Tech, Action, Emotion, or Entertainment
- Search: Use the search bar to find specific bee types
- Preview in 3D: Click any avatar to see it in full 3D with interactive controls
- Save: Click "Use This Avatar" to update your profile
Avatar Controls (3D Viewer)
- 🔄 Auto-Rotate: Toggle automatic spinning on/off
- 🔍+ Zoom In: Get a closer look at your bee
- 🔍- Zoom Out: See the full view
- Mouse Drag: Rotate the avatar manually
👨👩👧👦 Parental Controls: Teachers and parents can lock student avatars to prevent changes during class time.
📚 Using the Quiz Features
Starting a Quiz
From the main menu, you have three options:
- Upload Word List: Use CSV, TXT, DOCX, or PDF files
- OCR Upload: Take a photo of a word list and let AI extract the words
- Start Quiz: Begin with the default word list
Quiz Modes
- Practice Mode: Learn at your own pace
- Speed Round: Race against the clock for bonus points
- Battle of the Bees: Compete with other students
Input Methods
- Keyboard: Type your answer and press Enter
- Voice: Click the microphone and speak your spelling
🏆 Badges & Achievements
Earn badges by completing quizzes and reaching milestones:
- Perfect Score: Get 100% accuracy
- Speed Demon: Complete speed rounds quickly
- Streak Master: Maintain long correct answer streaks
- Honey Collector: Earn honey points
- Grade Master: Achieve A+ grades
View all your badges on your dashboard!
🔧 Troubleshooting
Avatar Not Loading?
- Check your internet connection
- Refresh the page (F5 or Ctrl+R)
- Clear browser cache and try again
- Make sure you're logged in
Voice Input Not Working?
- Allow microphone permission in your browser
- Check your microphone is connected and working
- Try using keyboard input instead
Can't Login?
- Double-check your email and password
- Make sure Caps Lock is off
- Contact your teacher for password reset
